#24 Quoting Gandalf

Essay's are not fun. Ever.

At least I don't enjoy them...
(I still don't get why picked literature but that's old news)

But it's all worth while when you can quote Lord of the Rings.

I hope you're proud Tolkien!

#23. Pretending you're looking for books in the library because there is nowhere to sit

Apparently, there's a new fad going on: Saving spaces.

Literally, every time I go into the library, normally around 8.30am, rows of seats are taken up by people for their friends. They put their stuff onto the desk, so that it  looks like someone is sitting there.

It's really annoying.

No offence, but if you're friends are too lazy to get into the library early then that's their problem.

I admit, once I asked my friend to save me a space if she saw one because I was coming in within 10 minutes. But some "ghosts" take up a desk for like three hours.

And it's embarrassing wondering around looking for a seat. I've seen people do this, I do it as well, I look around for spaces and if I can't see one I just pretend I was looking for a book so people don't think I was late coming in, or have no friends.

#22. Everything involves maths

It's not just simple maths.

I have to do inferential statistics...

I haven't touched a maths book since I was 15...

And to top it off, I study 'Literature and Linguistics'!

Seriously, since when does an art degree involve so many numbers?

And since maths is clearly a part of everything, statistics should be given as a module. I have to teach myself brand new material :(

Ugh!
Oh, and it's due in like 2 and a half weeks.

#21. The highlight of third year is the end of it...sadly

There's not an awful lot to look forward to about the final year of uni, aside from having a solid group of friends, and hopefully living with people who aren't insane.

Unfortunately, there's very little time to have fun in the second and third terms. First term is a breeze, because you're so far away from actually graduating you pretend you're just a mature first year.

The main thing that has increased substantially, is the work load. It's so intense, but it is the last year, so you want to make the most of it. (My last post sums this up...)

It's so difficult to do this though. The days are just endless repetitions:
8.30 am get to the library, 8.30pm leave the library

EVERYDAY...for months!

But I know I'll miss it loads. The only reason I'm doing this stupid zombie time table is to graduate.

I want uni to end, but I don't want it to go away...
